(March 2008) The La Jolla Festival of the Arts will celebrate its 22nd year on June 28 and 29, 2008 from 9 am to 5 pm. For the fourth year in a row, the Festival returns to the UCSD East Campus parking lots, located at Genesee Avenue and Regents Road. At its beginning, the La Jolla Festival of the Arts was created to support just the Adaptive Sports Association, but now donates to over 30 programs within the local disabled community, according to Festival Chair, Donald Ludwig. For any volunteer organization, there is something to be said for creating a fundraising event that has lasted 21 years and raised nearly $1 million. Ludwig continues, and it is the hard work and dedication of our members that continues to make the event such a success each year. The La Jolla Festival of the Arts combine the works of 190 nationally acclaimed artists, live entertainment including the Mar Dels and Eve Selis, along with an incomparable roster of savory food choices sure to tantalize any taste bud.
