This page provides information for artists who are considering exhibiting at the La Jolla Festival of the Arts, June 26-27, 2010. Updated 2/22/10 Artist Application is OPEN. If you are interested in exhibiting at the 2010 La Jolla Festival of the Arts, you must be registered at Zapplication.org. When you do so, you will automatically be subscribed to the Zapp newsletter. Do NOT unsubscribe from the newsletter, as this is the method we use to communicate with you. Exhibit space configuration and fee The Festival will not raise exhibit fees in 2010. When selecting the booth size and configuration in Zapp, it will be helpful to use the Zapp code printed below as a reference. Important: booth assignments will be made by the Festival to assure media separation, although we will try to accommodate your specific request. 10x13 storefront (the interior of an inline configuration.) $495 (Zapp code SFO) 10x13 storefront, corner (the corner of an inline configuration.) $575 (Zapp code SFC) 20x13 storefront, with one aisle corner (the interior and a corner of an inline configuration.) $695 (Zapp code SWC) 10x20 1/4 island , with two aisle corners $625 (Zapp code ILQ) Festival Hours Saturday and Sunday 9:00 to 5:00 Gates Open for Artists on Festival Days Saturday, June 26 7:00 AM Sunday, June 27 8:00 AM Artist Check In Check In and Set-up: Friday, June 25 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. All artists are asked to please check-in and set up on Friday. If you arrive late on Friday, please check in by 5:00 PM, then set up and be off campus by 6:00 PM. Gates will be open early on Saturday and Sunday mornings to bring in additional items. Artist Move Out Normal take down will, of course, be on Sunday evening after the show closes at 5:00 PM. However, we will again offer the “Monday Morning Take Down” option for artists who would like to spend Sunday night in the San Diego area and take down on Monday morning. California State Board of Equalization Sellers Permits We are required to have the California State Board of Equalization Sellers Permit on file for each artist. Please bring an extra copy of the permit with you to the Festival. We WILL ask to see it prior to move in if we don’t have it on file. Communication The Festival committee communicates almost exclusively via email. The application and jury process, operated by Zapplication.org, requires internet access.
